Wat shall we do with the template Schabloun:Ambox. Wat is the utility for lb:Wiki Les Meloures 23:18, 10. Jun. 2008 (UTC)

On (en) it's part of the {{Copy to commons}} template. I copied it across to replicate the template on (lb). Could you assist with translating the text in {{Copy to commons}}? Railwayfan2005 23:37, 10. Jun. 2008 (UTC)

I am afraid that we do not have enough users at this wiki to staff a project like the "copy to commons" one. Or would en-users take care of the organisational part thereof? --Otets 23:45, 10. Jun. 2008 (UTC)

The problem with Commons is that if a lb-user uploads a picture there and it would reveal later on that the licence is wrong or not maintained on Commons, this picture will be deleted on Commons, although it might subsist on the lb-wiki because we tolerate certain kinds of licences (e.g. Fair use) which are not allowed on Commons. Of course, if we would have somebody surveying the Commons list of pictures scheduled for deletion, we could take a rescue action before the deletion - but with not many regular users we cannot put one aside just to watch out for this. Therefore Commons rhymes for us more with risk to lose pictures and the majority would not necessarily encourage picture uploads to Commons. --Otets 12:06, 12. Jun. 2008 (UTC)

The licencing problem exists on all languages. The be suitable for commons it must have a commons compatible licence. The plus side is that all the images are shared so there is a wider range to choose from. Railwayfan2005 21:15, 11. Mäe. 2009 (UTC)
